Brash’s Newsletter

Hip-Hop artists like me I think are kinda rare. And I don’t mean to toot my own horn by saying that as I don’t necessarily mean that it brings success or that I’m better or whatever. I haven’t really been putting myself first when it comes to music. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that I’ve met so many fucking awesome artists since I started taking this “career” of mine seriously.

There’s a lot of things that I want to do in the music industry other than just perform, but I’ve really got to stay true to the thing I decided to start doing in the first place. I’d like to connect with people more to show them what I’m up to as far as this new album. It would really mean the world to me if you would trapse on over to THIS LINK HERE¬†and sign up for my newsletter.

I am still going to do Aeon Audio and run it as an imprint, but as of right now, I really have to focus on whatever it is that I need to do myself first. What I didn’t realize happens from starting a record label; your own music comes last. And while this isn’t me saying that I’m shutting down anything, I’m just going to say that it’s just a way to get music to people. That’s all a record company really is. And as you may or may not know, I started it myself. With my own money. When I was making money. Now I don’t really make anything because I was hit pretty hard by a lay off last July.

I don’t mean to be depressing with this. What I’m really getting at is that, as a person who really wants to talk to you, I’d like it if you could sign up. I”m always going to respect the fact that you shared information with me. At minimum it would be cool if I could have your email address so I can let you know about the shows that I”m doing, the things I’m trying to create… that’s all. And please understand that I respect you more than the average artist does. You attention span literally means the world to me and I don’t expect cash from it, I just have this irrational need to entertain you and this would help me do that. A lot.

Though I’d be lying to you if I said I didn’t hope that you slid on over to iTunes and bought my CD. Har har wakka wakka.

Thanks for at least considering signing up for the newsletter,

Chris Rapple aka Brash

Shout outs to J. Dizzo with the swift and dope editing. It was a lot of fun to make this. I’m hoping that you like it.

Website is coming along

Hey – Just wanted to drop a line to the people who have been coming through checking this out real quick. Currently there is a track listing for each Album and Mixtape I’ve put out. Pretty soon you’ll be able to listen to all of the stuff I’ve done (minus the early mixtapes and EPs which my old record company owns, and are quite frankly garbo bricks) and be able to download the tape free. I have direct links. For now, to download stuff for free, hit up my bandcamp page to download that stuff. Keep checking back as there will be more stuff added all the time.

New Song from Exit 6: Last Days

I just wanted to put out there what kind of sound is coming out with this. I’ve been working really hard on this music. I still feel like a lot of this is going nowhere, like I’ve wasted the last decade of my life chasing music. Kind of a sad, helpless feeling. But I’ll keep at it until I die. It doesn’t matter how many people recognize what I’m doing or not, this art is inside of me. It was put there by the great artists that helped charge my tumultuous teenage years. It’s a way for me to stay sane more than anything.
I would really like it a lot if you could share this music with a friend.
